Here's the Full List of New Titles Coming to Netflix April 2017

One of the highlights of a new month are all of the new things that come to Netflix. The streaming service, which has a healthy mix of their own original content plus popular television shows and movies, rolls out newly acquired titles over the course of the month, while they also take away some older titles to create a balance. Netflix has also grown their own content since the introduction of Orange is the New Black in 2013.

In April, there are a few Netflix originals that will be adding new episodes. The best thing about shows on Netflix is that you get the whole show in one sitting, so you don’t have to wait week to week to watch them! The Get Down, a Netflix original about life in The Bronx, N.Y. during the 1970s returns with the final half of its first season. Also returning is Chelsea Handler’s show Chelsea, which is airing in a slightly altered format. New episodes will be released every Friday instead of three times a week. Expect more celebrity interviews, skits and plenty of Trump bashing. Several other Netflix original series, docuseries and documentary series will be added over the course of the month as well. There are some great standup films also being added, including Kevin Hart’s 2016 release What Now and a new Netflix original standup special by Louis C.K. The CW show, D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s season two will air it’s last episode of the season in mid-April and then be added to Netflix a week later as an exclusive.

There are also a bunch of family friendly films and television shows being added in April as well. the American Tail movies (An American Tail and An American Tail: Fievel Goes West) will be released on April 1st. Cool Runnings, a favorite of many 90s kids about the first Jamaican bobsled team is also released on the 1st. Disney’s The BFG and Queen of Katwe will also be released in April, as well as Academy Award nominated Kubo and the Two Strings. Bill Nye’s new Netflix original show Bill Nye Saves the World is slated for release on April 21st along with the fourth season of The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show. The Secret Life of Pets follows the next day.
