One Grandma’s Knit Creation Turns out to Be Borderline NSFW

Few things warm the heart (and the body) like a beautiful, hand-knit gift from a relative, right? Especially if it’s from your dear, old grandma. I know I would have absolutely loved to receive a blanket or scarf, shawl or even some socks from my own grandmothers. What a welcome and thoughtful gift, after all. I’ve even knit a couple things myself for relatives before (and I know I put in tons of thought and work). But I gotta say, while my loom-knit hats have never exactly been brag-worthy, they’ve never wound up accidentally being anywhere near borderline NSFW. Unlike this one grandma’s knit creation that’s creating quite a stir on social media.
What kind of creation, you ask?
It appears to be a shark blanket. You know, kind of like those mermaid fin blankets that are all the rage lately? Except when you wear the blanket, it looks like the shark is eating you. Come to think of it, that part is also kind of creepy and weird. But wait, that’s not actually the troubling part about it. See for yourself:
Yep. That’s right. This shark blanket gives on-lookers the impression that the wearer has a raging hard-on, and that can be pretty embarrassing.
That’s certainly what prompted user newrapson to post the image on to popular viral image site Imgur. The pic shows a young boy innocently on the couch wearing the new gift from his grandmother. But unfortunately, grandma decided to get a bit too detailed.
The boner-looking appendage is of course nothing more than the shark’s fin. And of course, the internet is reacting just like this:
Yeah, it’s pretty bad. And I’m assuming this young lad doesn’t or hasn’t yet really noticed the almost NSFW part of his blanket. Then again maybe he did but he has no idea how to broach the topic with his family. I mean, who would be able to say, “Hey, grandma’s blanket makes me look like I have a woody!” to their parents? Maybe he just doesn’t want to embarrass his own granny, right? It is kind of hard not to notice the thing.
