G(irls) 20 Recruiting Next Round Of Smart Young Ladies For 2012
The G(irls) 20 Summit 2011 just wrapped up in October and having recruited sharp girls from around the world to discuss sexual health, environmental challenges, female infanticide, along with many other pressing issues, the Summit is ready to start all over again. Modeled After G20, Girls 20 chooses the smartest and brightest girls from 21 countries to weigh in on the most critical problems of our time, from economics crises to child marriage. What makes Girls 20 a unique effort is that girls aren’t framed as the problem, but rather a powerful resource in solving these epidemics.
Should you know a savvy and articulate girl between the ages of 18 and 20, she can apply to be a delegate representing one of the many G20 countries. If chosen, she will be selected to travel to Mexico City from May 29th to June 4th to discuss, deliberate, and envision solutions with panel discussions and workshops on media relations, social media and business planning. Applications must be in by January 9th 2012 11:59 pm EST.
Empower bright young girls by encouraging any you might know to apply, ensuring them that their voice and opinion on the world’s most pressing matters can be heard.
