Adorable Teen Boys Make Yearbook’s ‘Cutest Couple’ And I Can See Why
Awwww and awwwww. Here’s a yearbook photo that deserves to be shared and passed around on the internets and it has done just that, shared over 100,000 times in 24 hours after it was first posted on Tumblr. A high school student by the name of Chelsea posted a photograph of her friends Brad Taylor And Dylan Meehan who were voted “Cutest Couple” by the student body. She captioned the photo:
“Two of my best friends won Cutest Couple of our senior class. First time in my school history a same sex couple has even been able to run for this category, not to mention winning it. So proud of them, and my school.”
The Huffington Post reached out to this adorable couple who had this to say about their internet fame:
This whole thing has been a bit surreal for us because we have been raised to believe that love is love. We never realized that our happiness and openness would inspire so many individuals. The support we have received from our family, friends, and even strangers has led us to believe that our affection for each other is normal … When we started dating a year [ago], the thought of a photo of us traveling throughout the world would be a bit frightening, but now we are proud to be part of the LGBT community.
Your affection is normal and you guys are totally adorable. Although I’m totally charmed by this couple part of me hopes that as they either go to college or enter the workforce after graduation that they both date other people, because when I hear about a lot of couples who dated in high school and stayed together the MOM part of me is always thinking Meet new people! Date lots of people! Find yourself! Don’t settle down go to Europe first! Or at least that is what I will tell my own kids. yeah, yeah I know some of you are still with your high school sweethearts and happy as little in-love clams but I’m old fashioned, I think people should sleep with a hundred different people before settling down. But no matter how long these two cutie pies are together this picture sure is an adorable memento of their high school careers and how they found love. Awww, we all need to hug each other now.
