Gallery: Apple Picking, Nature Walks, And Other Fun Fall Activities For Busy Families

The minute the leaves start to turn colors, I feel like it’s time to gear up for the holiday season. I start buying presents ahead of time and trying to juggle the yearly holiday shuffle. It seems like I barely get through Labor Day and suddenly there’s snow on the ground and parties on the calendar. But December isn’t the only month for family activities. The fall presents great opportunities to get outdoors and start some family traditions (and it’s not nearly as expensive as buying a gift for everyone you’ve ever met).

The weather is perfect in the fall. The air is crisp, but it’s still nice enough to be outside. It’s just begging for families to get out and enjoy it. And let’s admit it, it brings the most comfortable and attractive fashion season, as well. So you have every reason to show off those comfy sweaters and great boots. So once you get all dolled up, what are you going to go out and do?

Here are some ideas that won’t take up too much time, but will you get all in the mood to appreciate this in-between season.

If you have any awesome family activities for autumn that I forgot, leave them in the comments!
