16 Photos That Make Us Want To Raid Kate’s And Meghan’s Shoe Closets

There’s a lot to covet about Duchess Meghan and Duchess Kate’s lives. After all, they’re actual royalty! They’re glamorous but still down to earth, they get to travel and work with amazing organizations, and then there’s that whole being actual royalty thing. As cool as it all looks, it can’t be easy. And yet, they both do it with such ease and charm, they make it look like a breeze! One of the things we’re most envious of is their wardrobe. Specifically, their shoe closets. They seem to have the pick of the litter when it comes to footwear. Only the best for the duchesses! Of course, we wouldn’t expect anything less.

Whether they’re performing official royal duties in gorgeous heels or taking a stroll with their husband in comfy, fashionable flats, Duchess Meghan and Duchess Kate are always rocking the most beautiful shoes. Even when Kate was close to giving birth all three times, she was winning below the ankle! Speaking of which, how in the world do royal ankles not swell during pregnancy?! Anywho, back to what matters: the shoes. Now, the majority of us wouldn’t spend $300+ on a pair of heels. BUT, if you were so inclined, you could easily snag you a pair of whatever Meghan and Kate were last photographed wearing. Here are some of their most popular shoe choices for your list.

Duchess Meghan has been stepping out in some amazing boots, like these black suede lace-up beauts.

She’s wearing the Veruka by Stuart Weitzman, which sell for a cool $698 but are actually on sale right now for $349! We hope that Meghan didn’t pay full price, LOL. Even though it’s more than we’ve ever spent on a pair of boots, we have to say, we would totally snatch these up at half off. They’re stylist, functional, and perfect for fall and winter. And they look pretty comfortable! Comfort is key during pregnancy, so we expect to see Meghan rocking the Veruka quite a bit this winter. Paired with leggings and a chunky sweater or a midi sweater dress, these are perfect.

Duchess Kate has a classic style, so it’s no wonder she seems to live in pumps.

Kate is VERY fond of her Alexander McQueen navy suede pumps. So fond, in fact, that a google search turns up like 18 different occasions she’s worn them. And we totally get why! They work with everything, the heel is the perfect height, and she’s probably broken them in well enough that they feel like sneakers at this point. But you won’t be able to get your hands on a pair of McQueens of your own. They were designed especially for Kate to match the Alexander McQueen sailor dress she wore to the commemoration service honoring those who lost their lives fighting the war in Afghanistan..

Another boot for Duchess Meghan, but this time, it’s a super stylist bootie in leather and suede.

Wow. We cannot tell you how very much we want those booties. The Givenchy GV3 ankle boot Meghan wore last month might possibly be the most perfect bootie we’ve ever seen. The pointed toe bootie has a black leather inset and black suede on the heel. You can find a red version with leather inset and suede heel on the Givenchy website for $995. Which is a mortgage payment, but whatever. You don’t need groceries for a few months! Your kids can eat ramen and apple sauce. And you can wear these everyday and be very happy together for several years.

Duchess Kate is the Queen (see what we did there?) of recycling her footwear.

But like, when shoes are that perfect, you should wear them every single day. We’re big fans of D’Orsay pumps, for the classic take on a pump that adds a little something extra. Kate’s fave pair seems to be the Mila by Gianvitto Rossi in black suede. Now, maybe because Kate wore them back in 2017, these are good and sold out. That’s sort of the Royal Family phenomenon: if Duchess Meghan or Duchess Kate are photographed wearing something, everyone goes nuts for it and it sells out almost immediately. Hopefully Kate is taking good care of her pair!

Because she’s Duchess Meghan, she gets amazing shoes in custom colors.

Now, the Aquazzura Denueve is an amazing shoe in any color. That heel! That toe! The cut-outs and bow detail! But if you were hoping to get your hands on this gorgeous taupe suede pair Meghan is fond of, you’re out of luck. You can find this shoe in black, red, and cream suede on the Aquazzura website for $750, but the taupe color was custom-made for Duchess Meghan. OK, we take it back. Kate and Meghan’s shoe closets aren’t the things we’re most envious of – it’s the fact that shoe designers make custom shoes for their royal feet. We want that kind of pull.

Kate knows that when a shoe is good, you get that shoe in every color it comes in.

We already know that Kate has a thing for classic pumps. Classic suede pumps. Classic suede pumps by Gianvito Rossi, apparently. The Duchess has several pairs of this shoe (called 105), from the goes-with-everything black to this perfect shade of red. Apparently she also owns them in burgundy and praline suede! When you find a shoe that works, you make it work with everything, right? They also come in a bunch of other colors and materials, like leather and satin. So we’ll be keeping our eyes on Kate’s feet in the future to see if she’s added to her collection of 105s.

Duchess Meghan has a few pairs of gorgeous pumps at her disposal, too.

But where Duchess Kate plays it a little safer with colors like timeless black, navy, and red, Meghan adds a bit of her own style with her footwear. She was spotted wearing Jimmy Choo Romy 100s in an amazing rich brown velvet. The Romy 100 is Jimmy Choo’s signature pump (confession: we bought a pair a couple of years ago on clearance and they are fantastic), and you can find them in pretty much every color or material imaginable. But can you find this oxid velvet Meghan wore? Well, that would be a big fat nope. Sold out! Just another reason we’d love to raid her shoe closet.

The Jimmy Choo Romy 100 is popular with the duchesses – Kate wore the same pair to Meghan and Harry’s wedding, and for baby Louis’ christening!

A classic pump like this one works for everything, and Kate has rocked it in nude a couple of times. Most notably, she wore the Choo to Meghan and Harry’s wedding! We wonder if Kate and Meghan wear the same shoe size. Can you imagine the duchesses shoe shopping together? Everyone knows that having the same shoe size as your sister or sister-in-law or best friend is ideal. That means you get double the amount of shoes to choose from, but don’t have to pay for them! We’re sure eagle-eyed royal watchers will be the first to alert the world if Meghan steps out in a pair of Kate’s shoes, and vice versa.

If you’re wondering how many pairs of pumps the duchesses own that we want, the answer is infinity.

Once again, Meghan throws in a little something extra when it comes to her shoes. She could have gone classic black pump, but she’s new to the royalty thing and wants to make her mark! So she wears the black pump with a tortoise heel. Yep, that’s a tortoise heel. The Sarah Flint Jay 100 is handcrafted, with a suede upper and a 4 inch tortoise heel to add just the right amount of wow. We would wear these shoes with everything, to be honest. Jeans, dresses, pajamas, whatever. These are good shoes, you guys. Duchess Meghan knows what she’s doing with her wardrobe and accessory choices, that is a damn fact.

Kate knows that all the sparkle you need can come from a stunning pair of shoes. And like $500,000 worth of royal jewels.

Ugh, we love them. And Kate loves them! She’s been photographed no fewer than four times in these Oscar de la Renta Platinum Lame Cabrina Pumps. She rocked them a few times in 2017, then brought them out again in 2018 at a royal dinner in Oslo, Norway. Who needs a new pair of shoes for every occasion when you have stunners like these in your closet? But we get it, because if we paid almost $700 for a pair of shoes, we’d bathe in them. You have to get your money’s worth! It’s hard enough to pick an outfit, probably harder when you have to match it to royal jewelry. But if you plan it around the shoes in your closet, you’re halfway done.

Duchess Meghan takes the simple nude pump to a whole new level with some PVC detailing.

You can’t see it in most of the pictures, but those gorgeous shoes have a little clear PVC detail the runs around the toe area. It’s something that most people wouldn’t even notice, but then you see it and you’re like, UM I’M SORRY WHAT? It gives the illusion of a narrow toe, but also gives the support of a full pump. The Tamara Mellon Siren 105 is such a great shoe, and we aren’t surprised at all to see it on Meghan. We’d be super jazzed to see it on ourselves, as we would be to see any of these shoes on our own feet. But this one in particular will gets our juices flowing. So classic, yet so young and fresh. Just like Meghan Markle herself!

It’s really hard to window shop Duchess Kate’s shoes, because she wears beautiful shoes from several seasons ago and makes them super popular.

Kate started wearing these Tod’s fringed pumps all the way back in 2016! She’s worn them several times since then, like on her official trip to Sweden in January 2018. But here’s the thing: would most people lust after a pair of burgundy fringed pumps? Not particularly. Does everybody and their mother want a pair since seeing them on Kate? Absolutely. Kate and Meghan have an amazing gift – they can create a fashion frenzy simple by leaving the house in whatever shoes were up next in the rotation. These pumps are from a couple seasons ago, so they are totally sold out. But we can dream, right?

Duchess Meghan takes the simple and makes it spectacular.

Out of all the shoes we’ve been drooling over on this list (and clothes and jewels, let’s be honest), Meghan in jeans and flats and baseball cap on her head is quite possibly the most perfect look we’ve seen yet. Because this is our look! This is how we look like 90% of the time. Well, this is how we look in theory. In reality, we don’t look nearly as beautiful and put together as Meghan. Maybe it would help if we snagged us some Chanel ballet flats? It certainly couldn’t hurt, right? They’re Chanel, for crying out loud. No one would care what the rest of our ensemble looked like once they caught a glimpse of our perfect ballet flats.

Kate doesn’t wear pumps ALL the time. Sometimes she wows us with a sexy scalloped number.

Oh Mylanta, those are some AMAZING shoes. If you were starting to wonder if Kate had actual feet and not just pegs to put pumps on, then wonder no more. Occasionally she leaves the pumps at home and steps out in something hip and sexy, like these Prada Scalloped Sandals. Kate’s been spotted in the plum ones shown here, as well as a nude version. But guess what? Plum is plum sold out! Of course it is, because Kate put her magic touch on it and made it poof from the rest of the world. She’s some kind of shoe wizard.

Duchess Meghan rocked the espadrille wedge heard ’round the world.

This is literally the only pair of affordable shoes on this list, and they’re still $120, LOL. But whatever, they’re gorgeous. It’s so rare to see a member of the royal family step out of the stuffy prim-and-proper box, but Meghan has been a fresh of breath air from the very beginning. She’ll rock an adorable maxi dress with some simple espadrilles, because of course she will! You guys, we can probably all find a very similar outfit in our closet right now. We are one step closer to being JUST LIKE MEGHAN. All we need is our own prince to marry.

OK, this is clearly Kate’s favorite pair of shoes, as she’s been wearing them since 2011. And it’s a damn good pair.

Va-va-va-voom, Duchess Kate! That is a damn sexy pair of shoes, and we are loving them. Kate first wore these Jimmy Choo Vamp Glitter Platform Sandals all the way back in 2011 at a BAFTA celebration. But it seems like anytime she needs to ramp up her outfit, she pulls these lovelies out. And who could blame her?! Alas, designer shoes don’t last many seasons, and of course, you can’t find this particular shoe now. Thankfully Kate seems to keep her shoes looking nice and fresh, so they’re practically brand new every time she wears them. Seriously, a shoe wizard!

There are so many reasons to love Duchess Meghan and Duchess Kate. They’re lovely people! But their wardrobes and shoes definitely help us fall a bit more in love every time we see a picture of them. Not a single misstep between the pair.
