Dina Lohan Shopping A Memoir Detailing Her Awesome Parenting Decisions
Lindsay Lohan may be heading back to jail this week but that hasn’t stopped Dina Lohan from finding ways to cash in. The mother of four has been in talks for the past two weeks about a memoir detailing her daughter’s descent into drugs, alcohol, and fame.
TMZ has their hands on a prologue which Dina’s staff has been sharing with potential publishers. In addition to blaming Lindsay’s many troubles on her friends, the demands of her career, and her “handlers,” it appears Dina avoids any responsibility for her daughter’s lifestyle. When explaining why she decided to move Lindsay to Los Angeles at a young age, she writes:
“How could I deny my daughter the chance of a lifetime? How could I hold Lindsay back from her dream of becoming an actress? So, I listened to others and sent my daughter to Hollywood with a few pieces of luggage and a chaperone.”
While TMZ speculates that there may have been a ghost writer for this one, the prologue goes on to describe how helpless Dina felt as a parent. When Lindsay first started getting into trouble with the law, Dina considered removing her from Los Angeles and dragging her back to New York (where the Lohans are originally from) but ultimately felt that she could not — perhaps for Lindsay’s career? Dina does express in the book how conflicted she felt, functioning both as Lindsay’s mother and her manager. Profits before the child’s well-being, it would seem.
And with young Ali Lohan getting work in the modeling world, Dina now has another daughter ready to exploit for “the chance of a lifetime.”
No word yet on who has yet to make an offer on this tell-all disaster.
