Parents Arrested After Mom Admits Sick Truth That Dad Put Baby in the Microwave
There are some real monsters in the world and if by all the things we’re hearing — Derick Boyce-Slezak and Mikala Boyce-Slezak fit that description. The two have been arrested and have child abuse charges filed against them after putting their baby son in the microwave, according to PEOPLE.
According to reports, Derick Boyce-Slezak and Mikala Boyce-Slezak from Park Hills, Missouri, were arrested at the end of November and are being held on charges of child abuse.
The things they’re being accused of doing make my stomach hurt and I can’t believe someone would do something like this to a small little baby. Let alone their own baby. According the the court records obtained by PEOPLE, the two parents, both 22-years-old placed their son in a microwave and turned it on. Their baby was just under 4-months old at the time.
The courts say that the baby boy was treated at a St. Louis hospital back in April — over 7 months before their arrest. The baby also had suffered a fractured skull, and a subdural hematoma, which caused blood to collect between his skull and his brain.
According to what PEOPLE obtained from the authorities who were investigating the case, the two parents allegedly told the social worker that the Derick had dropped the baby while they were trying to recreate a TV commercial. Ermmm, WTF?
They also used the excuse that the facial burn was really a rash caused by a chemical cleaner, according to court documents. But, the social worker alleges that the mom, Mikala, revealed the truth: that the baby was put in the microwave by her husband and turned it on.
PEOPLE wasn’t able to find out how the baby is doing now — or why it took SEVEN months for any charges to come to the parents.
