Some of you may have heard of a gent named Conor McGregor. The 28-year-old Irishman is one of the most well-revered UFC fighters in the world. In fact, he is currently the UFC Lightweight Champion and at one point was also simultaneously the UFC Featherweight Champion. He’s the first person to have ever held two belts in different weight classes concurrently. Accomplishments aside, McGregor is also known to be something of a trash talker. But while the cable networks can censor his words, no one could have expected that Conor McGregor’s suit would have a profane message for his haters.
See, McGregor is currently on a press tour revolving around his upcoming fight with undefeated, five-division world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather. The media, as you might imagine, is all over this right now. And while I’ll totally allow them to give you the details about a boxer getting in the ring with an MMA fighter, I am totally equipped to give you my thoughts on McGregor’s epic “Fuck You” pinstripe suit.
Looking sharp with his sharp tongue
I’m guessing that McGregor was tired of always having his words bleeped out during his many press conferences, so he opted to find a new way to trash-talk without actually having to say anything. According to GQ, MGregor’s amazing three-piece pinstripe suit was custom made by clothing label David August. David August Heil, the CEO of the brand, had this to say in an interview with the magazine:
“Conor has been a longtime client and friend of ours, and we’re deeply honored to be a part of this epic, historic story as it unfolds. With a force in sports and fashion like Conor, it makes our job exciting to create unique looks that enhances his natural confidence and power. He’s a disrupter in everything he does, and we’re intoxicated by his passion and drive.”
It is most definitely a unique look, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if more folks start getting custom made “Fuck You” suits made. It’s sharp, yet subtle. Guess we could add it to another one of these lists of awesome things with curse words on them.
