There Is A 6-Year-Old Survivor From The Connecticut Shooting & She ‘Played Dead’ Among Her Murdered Classmates
Among the stories of insurmountable bravery coming out the Connecticut shootings are that of children, some of whom waited for friends or boasted karate skills during the horrendous moments following the gunfire. Among them now is the reported only survivor from a class of 16 that was senselessly murdered by Adam Lanza. And she’s only six years old.
The little girl’s mother is reportedly being counseled by a local pastor. He describes the mother as suffering from “survivor’s guilt” in the wake of the tragedy given that all the other parents of her daughter’s class lost their children.
The surviving child is reported as being the first student to run out of the school, a horrific sight that was described by the pastor as the following:
She ran out of the school building covered in blood from head to toe and the first words she said to her mom when she got outside was, mommy, I’m okay, but all my friends are dead. Somehow in that moment god’s grace was able to act as if she was already — was she the only one in that class that survived…. she saw someone who she felt was angry and somebody who she felt was very mad… I think it’s impossible outside of divine intervention. She has wisdom beyond her years.
A 6-year-old girl somehow being able to comprehend such violence, and then possess the proper understanding to “play dead” among her classmates, suggests “wisdom” and then some.
