Casey Anthony’s Parents To Appear On ‘Dr. Phil’

It was only a matter of time. Casey Anthony‘s parents, George Anthony and Cindy Anthony, have finally agreed to be interviewed on national television. They’re set to appear on Dr. Phil on September 12, reports CBS News.

Casey was acquitted in July of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony, a case that sparked international attention and protests around the world from people who believed this mom was let off the hook way too easily (Caylee was reported missing in July 2008 by Cindy Anthony). Since her acquittal, Casey has received countless offers to appear on television in magazines, including posing for Hustler for a hefty $500,000. Her parents have, too, but they’ve declined all media requests until now, that is.

Nothing is off limits during this interview,” Dr. Phil told CBS News of the Anthonys’ upcoming appearance. “Cindy and George have suffered a horrific loss with the untimely death of their granddaughter Caylee, and they have since endured an unprecedented public attack on their family. Despite living under a ‘media microscope’ for years, their story has never really been told and there’s so much more to it than what we’ve heard in the media. Throughout this extensive interview, we explore every detail of their ordeal, and they answer every question I know will be on our viewers’ minds.”

White ratings will no doubt be super high I know that I personally will be tuning in just to see if Dr. Phil does an adequate job of grilling these people there are those who are boycotting CBS News for inviting the Anthonys to appear on the show in the first place. A network release says that the Anthonys will not be paid for the interview, but many people are skeptical and subsequently horrified by the fact that this couple could actually profit off the death of their granddaughter. In the same release, they’ve asked that a donation be made to “Caylee’s Fund,” a charitable organization they’re forming to honor Caylee.
