Casey Anthony Offered $500,000 To Pose In Hustler, Plus Rubber Mask Sells For $1 Million On eBay

Earlier this week, eBay began accepting bids for a creepy Casey Anthony latex mask. (You’ll recall that Anthony was acquitted on July 5 following a high-profile trial for the 2008 murder of her two-year-old daughter Caylee.) Bids started at $25 and on Wednesday evening, following 105 bids, the item sold for a whopping $999,900.

Huh?!

According to the eBay description, the mask is one of nine created for a parody video by a pop artist called Torro. Here’s more from the seller’s complete description:

“Halloween is only a few months away. Forget Freddy, Jason, Meyers, here’s your chance to scare the *#&% out of everyone and win every costume contest with this amazing Tot Mom latex rubber mask, possibly the most frightening mask on the planet… One of the best Halloween masks I’ve ever seen. This one is in excellent condition and it is numbered 6 of 9. I kept one for myself because I know these will be priceless. A significant piece of crime history. No matter what your opinion of the trial is, this is still one heck of a conversation piece. I bet Nancy Grace would love one of these. Fits most heads sizes comfortably. Let’s never forget poor Caylee…”

I guess it shouldn’t be all that surprising that there are people in this world looking to profit from a national tragedy (happens all the time). Still, this is beyond disrespectful and it just sickens me. First, that someone would even bother putting this disgusting mask up for sale to begin with and second, that more than 100 people actually bid on it. And how about the unidentified winner? I’m sorry, but the $1 million would by way better spent on charity, such as helping abused children.

In other despicable Casey Anthony news, Hustler founder Larry Flynt has just offered Anthony $500,000 (plus 10 percent of all profits) to pose nude in the pages of his magazine. Flynt told HLN’s Nancy Grace on Thursday night that talks are ongoing (Anthony’s camp dismissed the reports as “nonsense,” reports CNN,).

“You’ve got men who say hey, I want to see her in her birthday suit,” Flynt said of the Anthony offer. “There may be some sick individuals … but that’s what life is all about.”
