Bristol Palin Got Pregnant To Spite Mom, Says Levi Johnston

Is it just me or is Levi Johnston a dick? Johnston, you’ll recall, is the former boyfriend of Sarah Palin‘s daughter, Bristol Palin. And he has a book coming out next week, Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs, a tell-all of sorts about his life with the Palin family. In it, he claims that Bristol got pregnant simply to spite her mom.

So does that explain why Johnston himself agreed to impregnate her? Does that explain why Bristol became a single mom at age 18? Or even why the guy has written a book about his tumultuous relationship with the Palins in the first place?

Look, I’m the first one to poke fun at Sarah Palin she is just so make-fun-able but there’s something that irks me about Johnston spilling it for all the world to see. It seems like nothing more than a desperate attempt to stay in the spotlight. Oh, and to profit off of someone else’s family dysfunction, which just isn’t cool. (Never mind that fact that he is the father of two-year-old Tripp!)

Johnston writes in his book that Bristol was so angry about her mother’s pregnancy with son Trig that she wanted to get pregnant, too, reports The Associated Press. Meanwhile, Bristol writes in her own book, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far released last June that she lost her virginity to Johnston on a camping trip after getting drunk on wine coolers. Johnston denies those claims, arguing they were sexually active well before then.

Here’s the best: Johnston says he had “been too dumb” to use protection but knew that having a baby was “what [Bristol] wanted.” Uh, okay. He also claims that Sarah Palin had an idea to adopt the baby to “avoid a scandal” but that he and Bristol wouldn’t allow it. Oh, and that she wanted to be called “Mommy Sarah” instead of grandma. (Creepy.)

So now you’ve heard it all here no need to buy the book. Just kidding. But, really, this guy sounds like a total jerk. At least try and show some respect for the 20-year-old mother of your child.
