Beyonce Had Her Babies!

It is a happy day in the land of Earth, because Empress Beyonce has blessed our soil with two brand-new Bey-bies, and our world will forever be better for it.

Beyonce announced that she was pregnant with twins back in February with a mind-blowing pregnancy announcement on Instagram, featuring a bikini, a veil, and a giant arch of faux flowers. (She also sat on top of a car, because Beyonce doesn’t do things by halves.)

Now the babies are here! According to TMZ, one is a boy and one is a girl, just like Amal Clooney’s babies.

They were born Monday, but they are reportedly still in the hospital for a minor issue and are all expected to be released shortly. If TMZ’s reports are true, then it would seem like Beyonce did not in fact install a birthing suite completely with NICU and operating theater in her LA home so she could have the highest of high-end home births. That’s probably good. Beyonce might have an $80,000 dining room table, but a fully functional NICU in the basement seems like a bit of a stretch, even for her.

Beyonce and Jay Z are busy with their two new babies and have not yet given the world a baby announcement of their own, but Beyonce’s father, Mathew Knowles, posted a welcome announcement to Twitter, confirming that the newest Beyonce babies are, in fact, here.

Blue Ivy must be so excited to be a big sister, and to have her own, tiny little backup dancers.

Now all that’s left to do is to wait for Beyonce and Jay Z to hold what is sure to be an enormous baby reveal. We know the babies will both be cute, but what will their names be? (Part of me suspects the little boy might be Shawn, after his father.) And how will they be revealed? However they do it, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be amazing.
