Bethenny Frankel Profoundly Reminds Us That Marriage Is Not Akin To Shoe Shopping
On her recent marital problems, Bethenny told People magazine that she and her husband are now on better terms:
“We’ve been scared,” says Frankel, 41. “The second year of marriage was not easy. We hit bottom, [but] we came out the other side….I think we have what it takes to make it work,” she says. “I don’t have a backup plan. It’s not like shopping for shoes and getting a new pair. That’s not what it’s about.”
The entrepreneur recently blew back into New York City after spending a stint in Los Angeles test running her new talk show, Bethenny. There is speculation that Fox will continue the show next year, a career upgrade that means Bethenny no longer has to exploit herself or her family with Bethenny Ever After or any sort of Real Housewives franchise nonsense:
“I’m done with putting my personal life and family on reality television. I went all the way, and I think it may be enough. Enough about me.”
That sound you hear is my audible applause for a statement that you are not likely to hear from any top-earning celebrity mother. Even if they are garnering their own talk show.
