The 10 Best Shows for Moms to Binge Watch on Netflix

tvI feel like every new baby should come with a subscription to Netflix. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re probably not a parent.

The long, sleepless nights waiting for your colicky baby to go back to sleep”¦ Nursing every hour on the hour for months straight”¦ An innocent infant that totally destroys your sleep schedule so that you can’t even “sleep when the baby sleeps””¦ Welcome to motherhood! Here’s your lifetime membership to Netflix.

If you’re not using Netflix as a crutch to make it through the night after you’ve been woken up by your little bundle of joy, then you’re obviously using it as a treat after you sign off of #momlife when you finally get your kids to bed for the night. You can breathe a sigh of relief, kick up your feet with a nice glass of wine, and watch hours of an addicting show that will transport you to another time and place. I’m getting all jelly just thinking about it.

Netflix is for binge-watching. If you’re a frazzled new mom with lots of time on your hands, bookmark this list posthaste:

1. Breaking Bad

Every mom has secretly watched Breaking Bad and wants to start her own meth lab for side money. Now, at least you’ll have something cool to talk about on the playground.

2. Grey’s Anatomy

Don’t judge me, but I will always be obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy until the end of time. I don’t care if you say that the latest season sucks. Just rewatch it all on Netflix and get lost in the magic.

3. House Of Cards

“Ruthless Congressman” Kevin Spacey has TV addiction written all over him and is, for realz, mom’s best friend.

4. Louie

Louie starring Louis CK makes the list because he has the best parenting humor of all time. Watch, laugh, and prepare to be offended.

5. Luther

6. New Girl

New Girl is another one of my all-time faves. It may be marketed to late twenties/early thirties hipsters, but at least you can watch it and feel cool again.

7. Orange Is The New Black

I was skeptical at first and then became full on obsessed with season one. I am literally counting down until the season two premiere.

8. Parenthood

As cheesy as it sounds, Parenthood is seriously one of my very favorite shows about”¦ parenthood. The improv-style acting on this show is phenomenal.

9. Parks and Recreation

Amy Poehler is every working mom’s inspiration. Binge-watch this show now. That’s an order.

10. Weeds

This is technically an oldie but a goodie, but I still have a soft spot for Mary-Louise Parker. Plus, you can use her as the model of the cray cray mom that you will never be.
