Watch This 7-Month-Old Water Ski Like It’s No Biggie

baby waterskiA new milestone war is upon us. While mothers and fathers may be nervously eyeing when their tots reach certain walking and talking benchmarks, a new question has been raised from the YouTube depths. At what age does one conquer waterskiing? For this Australian baby, he was only seven months.

Baby Ryder is captured here waterskiing, and perfectly well at that. His mother, Tamara, posted the video, writing:

This is our son Ryder learning to ski at the age of 7.5 months at Lake Dyer, Queensland. Please note: he is not actually behind a boat he is just being pulled along the shoreline. Next step is to get him beside the boat next season when its warmer again.

I can only assume that Tamara is the trot-happy lady behind the coasting Ryder.

What do you call a free-range parent who semi-helicopters a particular water-skiing adventure? Frankly, who cares? Because this baby is not only waterskiing, but doing so with utter ease. His little hands don’t even move, nor does he cry with anxiety about, say, the water moving beneath him or the wind whipping his adorable little face.

I know, I know. I can hear the “Helmet! Helmet!” chorus from here.

But seriously. Baby is actually waterskiing!
