The name of a majestic Blue Mountains town, as well as the surname of one of most Australia’s celebrated writers, Henry Lawson. Lawson has been used as a first name since the 1850s, and yet this name feels right at home with today’s popular baby names. It’s modern but still has such a strong history.
It’s makes for a great baby boy’s name as it’s a less popular alternative for parents who like the look of the name Lawrence but wants something with a slightly cooler feel. Some girls have been the name as well, but I think personally it’s more fitting for a little boy, but I could see how it would be cute. Lacy or Lo would be a great nickname for a little girl named Lawson.
