Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Mistress Speaks Publicly For First Time

You all the story by now: Arnold Schwarzenegger impregnates the family housekeeper, Mildred Baena. She gives birth to a boy, Joseph, who increasingly resembles The Sperminator. Fourteen years later, the truth comes out about the former governor’s secret love child. Maria Shriver and her cheating/lying husband promptly call it quits. The media goes crazy.

And now, for the first time, 50-year-old Baena has spoken out to Hello! magazine about the scandal. She talked about Joseph, the family resemblance and how her son is looking forward to building a relationship with his father. But the part that truly stands out is the way in which Baena spoke about Shriver, for whom she worked for 20 years.

“I have so much love and respect for Maria,” Baena told Hello! Shriver had suspected that something was up and, according to Baena, her employer finally asked her point blank if Joseph was Arnold’s child. “She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn’t Arnie’s fault, that it takes two.”

What’s so striking about this scene, beyond the fact that it’s simply sad, is the power of female connections. (Can you imagine if it were reversed – if it were two men caught in a similar situation? Especially The Terminator!) That Maria Shriver is one strong, classy woman. And her compassion is awe-inspiring.
