5-Year-Old Hero Brings Vodka to School in Her Lunchbox

A mom in Queensland, Australia, just experienced a lunchbox fail for the books. The woman’s five-year-old daughter accidentally packed a frozen Smirnoff Raspberry Sorbert in her lunch, mistaking it for a frozen juice pouch. The mom had no idea until her daughter’s school called to tell her about the alcoholic mistake. I know I could use a drink before I spend an extended period of time around a bunch of five-year-olds, so I find this “mistake” claim suspicious.

The mom explained that while she was packing her daughter’s lunch, she told her to grab a frozen juice pouch from their freezer. As she wrote on Facebook, “EPIC lunchbox fail…when you tell your 5 year old Preppie to put a frozen juice pouch in her lunchbox…and you forget about the other pouches that are in the freezer!!!” I haven’t experienced this problem because I have never forgotten about any alcohol in my house, but I can definitely see how this could happen to someone else.

Luckily for the Queensland mom, the school was very understanding. After the school informed her what they’d found in her daughter’s lunch, she quickly found the humor in the situation. “I apologised for not sending enough for the teachers and they just laughed, thankfully.” Yeah but did they give the drink back, or did the principal get a midday buzz? Inquiring minds want to know.
