Pregnant Hilary Duff Gets $100,000 For Not Appearing In Movie

Oh, to be a knocked up 23-year-old former tween starlet. While everyone except for me is feeling badly for Hilary Duff getting dumped from Bonnie & Clyde, Ms. Duff is laughing all the way to the bank.

You see, Duff was all set to star in the Bonnie & Clyde remake ’til she went and got herself pregnant. Studio executives didn’t like that too much, and so they promptly bid her farewell. Duff is now receiving $100,000 as a result, reports TMZ. (This is kind of like Jersey Shore‘s The Situation being paid to not wear Abercrombie & Fitch clothing, only different.)

Look, I think it’s fabulous for Duff that she’s walking away with such a hefty severance. Truth be told, I’m jealous. I mean, who wouldn’t want to get paid $100,000 for doing absolutely nothing? We say power to her!

Duff was apparently volunteering at the Los Angeles Mission’s 75th End Of Summer Block Party when she was asked about the whole fiasco. She told TMZ: “I don’t wanna give them any more press than they’ve already gotten off me… I think [my] baby is a little bit more exciting.” I can’t say I agree, though I do think it’s cool that she’s walking away with a hefty sum. She could have ended up like a newly preggo Beyonce, who will have to work for her money…
