Who says that Beyonce‘s pregnancy was fake? Reports may have surfaced that Beyonce delivered newborn Blue Ivy via c-section on Saturday night but a statement by the singer herself and her mogul husband Jay-Z say otherwise. The couple recently took a break from baby bliss to set the record straight in a quick press release. And they even disclosed Blue’s birth weight!
The happy parents who are delighted with their new little girl released a joint statement, TMZ reports. The couple wrote that their daughter Blue “was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives.” They added:
“Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”
“Natural” childbirth is odd terminology to use here given that the term most often describes giving birth without pain-relief medication, which perhaps Bey did. But just so everyone is clear, the proud parents want to confirm that they didn’t have to “succumb” to any c-section business in bringing their baby diva into the world. Grammy winner and all around wonder woman Beyonce can of course do anything — including give birth without the help of mere mortal hands.

I don’t think her method of birthing is anyone’s business. Why do people need to “excuse” themselves for having C-sections or bottle feeding? What does it matter to us how she brought a child into this world? Is that going to affect us or our children? There are millions of kids that are delivered thru C section and/or are breastfed and they seem to be functioning individuals, no circus freak deformity or mother issues.
Nobody needs to clarify or tell a person why they made the choices they made regarding their children. As long as a child is taken care of and loved, what is it to us? It’s a personal choice.
