Madonna Proofreads Her Daughter Lola’s Blog, Calls Her ‘Lazy Writer’

Madonna may be known for being a performer, but that doesn’t mean she discounts the importance of education and strong writing skills. The mother of four recently told Harper’s Bizarre that she keeps an editorial eye on her daughter Lola‘s blog which she maintains on Material World, a website devoted to the mother-daughter fashion line, Material Girl.

Lola’s segment of the blog features her thoughts on fashion, friends, and other happenings in the life of a 14-year-old. Madonna told the publication that she goes through her daughter’s entries and even rewrites some passages:

“I proofread her blogs and edit them and give her a hard time when I think she’s being a lazy writer.”

The singer also noted in the interview that her daughter “loves fashion and style” and that her job as the mother is simply to “stand in the background and watch.” And make all necessary grammar corrections of course.

While Madonna isn’t exactly doing her daughter’s homework, a little revision and criticism never hurt any developing writer. Glad to see that even young Lourdes doesn’t get away with being “a lazy writer.”
